As some comments above state "B" is for both beans and berries, which is why I use a different acronym than Dr. Fuhrman - SMOG BB's! The trick with acronyms is to make up something memorable, which often works best when humorous - so think of illness as smog in the body being broken up by the healthy substances in the foods - BB's!

I smiled after reading what he said about the secret to aging healthfully. I think finding the right one to be with can really help a lot. Life is a long travel and if you have someone who will be there no matter what your travel will definitely be worth the while. Your journey will be full with happiness and though sometimes the situation maybe rough you'll still be able to find a reason to smile. We're making our own life and i really think that life is matter of perspective. We can be happy, we can be sad. It's our choice to make so it's up to us.

Thanks for the reminder. We saw Dr. Fuhrman interviewed on the PBS fund-raising marathon. What he says is almost exactly what I do.

The oncologist has a valid point, but my bets are that nutrition, especailly avoiding civilisation toxins (additives, food that has been downgraded by refining or pasteurising), will trump the odds

One minor correction. Crucifereous vegetables are those in the brassica, cabbage family, Spinich is chenopodium, related to lamb's quarters, sometimes called pigweed.
